In addition to the corporate funding received through the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges and matching gifts, Randolph College receives support for current and capital expenditures from foundations and corporations.
Many types of support from foundations and corporations are critically important to the College. Support for new initiatives, funding for specific projects, grants toward undergraduate scholarships, and grants for facilities are among the most valuable forms of support for Randolph College.
Randolph’s largest on-campus event is the annual Science Festival of Central Virginia (SciFest). Participation by foundations and corporations enhances the Festival’s quality and attracts strong community involvement. Support for SciFest helps provide numerous innovative activities and opportunities for learning that emphasize the interdisciplinary nature of science and its relations to the arts and humanities.
