Randolph College is excited to host prospective students and their families in a series of open houses this spring. The full schedule is available at http://www.randolphcollege.edu/admission/visit/, and personalized visits may be scheduled through our visit app or by emailing admissions@randolphcollege.edu.
In preparation for the big day, we’d like to introduce you to some of our Gold Key Tour Guides—the students who will show you around campus and answer your questions about the Randolph experience.
Lauren Taylor ’21 is a double major in dance and business from Montgomery, Ala. She is also a communication studies minor. We asked her a few questions about her Randolph experience so far:
What’s your favorite thing about Randolph?
“I really love how as a student at Randolph, you get a real sense of community. From the small class sizes to all of the opportunities for clubs and organizations, you really get to know a lot of the students here. As a part of the dance department, I feel as if I have really found my college ‘family,’ which isn’t always an easy thing to find at larger colleges or universities.”
What’s your favorite place or thing on campus to show prospective students?
“My favorite spot on campus to show has to be the Student Center. I think it’s great that Randolph has such a big space for studying, hanging out, and for hosting school events. For fun facts, I just love talking about all of the traditions we have here on campus. I think it’s great to share personal experiences about traditions and help to show prospective students why Randolph is so unique.”
What advice would you give to prospective students about choosing a college?
“Some advice to all prospective students is to just make sure that you are comfortable in your surroundings. As cliche as it sounds, each college campus will give you a certain vibe that can make or break your decision. Hopefully when you are in the process of choosing colleges you go on some campus tours, so don’t be afraid to ask questions and talk! I promise that tour guides love conversation and it will make the trip even more worthwhile.”
