Randolph hosting 26th Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Undergraduate Scholarship this weekend

Randolph College is hosting the 26th Annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Undergraduate Scholarship (MARCUS) on Saturday, Nov. 2.

College students throughout Virginia and surrounding states have attended the conference since its inception in 1999, sharing findings from research or creative projects in all disciplines.

The conference begins with the keynote address, “Emotional Intelligence: Research-based connections to empowerment, self-motivation, and human welfare,” given by E. Scott Geller, Alumni Distinguished Professor of Psychology, Virginia Tech.

Poster presentations will be on display in Hampson Commons during two sessions, from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. Oral presentations will be in Nichols Theatre from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.
