Randolph hosting first-ever Arts Open House Feb. 8

Graphic for Arts Open House

Are you or someone you know interested in studying the arts at Randolph College? Sign up now to attend Randolph’s first-ever Arts Open House February 8!

The daylong event will help prospective students and their families get to know the art scene at Randolph and will feature the College’s studio art, dance, museum and heritage studies, music, and theatre programs. In addition, there will be master classes and workshops, tours of the Maier Museum of Art at Randolph College, scholarship auditions, and portfolio reviews for high school seniors.

“It’s a really unique and wonderful opportunity for students who value the arts as a part of their education—whether or not their intention is to major or minor in the arts,” said Marianne Virnelson ’17, fine arts recruitment coordinator. “Our theatre, music, dance, and studio art department faculty members offer conservatory-level rigor in their courses but also fully understand that their students may have passions beyond the stage or the studio. We want students to be authentically themselves in every aspect. Whether a student is an aspiring historian with a passion for stage management, a cellist who also happens to be a brilliant mathematician, or a rising teacher whose second home is onstage, we celebrate them in every capacity.”

Registration is required and may be completed at www.randolphcollege.edu/admission/visit or by contacting Virnelson at mvirnelson@randolphcollege.edu or 434-485-8036.
