Randolph announces largest fundraising total in seven years

Randolph College recently announced its largest fundraising total in seven years—more than $10 million. The College’s fiscal year ended June 30.

“We feel fortunate to have so many caring alumnae and alumni who continue to provide vital financial support to this wonderful institution,” said Bradley W. Bateman, president. “It is their generosity that allows Randolph to provide an affordable, high quality liberal arts education to our students.”

Giving to the Annual Fund, which supports the day-to-day operations of the College, including scholarships, salaries, and other programs, recorded the second highest total in eight years, $2.23 million. Bequests totaled nearly $2.6 million. Also included in this year’s total was an anonymous $2 million gift announced in the spring for capital infrastructure improvements.

“These gifts help ensure that the legacy of Randolph-Macon Woman’s College is honored and the future of Randolph College is preserved,” Bateman said. “We are excited about our fundraising accomplishments from last year, and we look forward to an exciting new academic year.”
