Orientation Schedule and Itinerary

Transfer Student Orientations are very important contributors to student success at college.  The sessions and activities are designed to prepare you for the Randolph College experience and to provide opportunities for you to meet and connect with classmates.

Please make every effort to attend Randolph College’s Transfer Student Orientation on Sunday, August 26 from 11 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.  Mark your calendars, ask off work, make travel arrangements, arrange for childcare, and plan to participate in the entire orientation program!

Move-In Information

Transfer student move-in will take place on Saturday, August 25 between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. or Sunday, August 26 between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Please go to the Reception and Information Desk located in Main Hall Lobby to check-in and pick-up your room keys. Note that you will NOT be able to check-in prior to 9 a.m. Housing assignments can be accessed through the Randolph College Portal System. If you need log-in assistance, please call the Help Desk at 434.947.4005.

Cleared for Move-In?

Randolph College charges by semester with statements sent the first week of July for the fall semester and the first week of December for the spring semester. Semester payments are due accordingly on August 1 and January 1 prior to the start of each semester. These statements are also available in the student’s self-service account online.

Please understand that students cannot move into campus housing until 1) the outstanding balance is paid in full for the upcoming semester OR 2) they have registered for and started making payments on the Monthly Payment Plan. Room keys will be withheld from students who have not paid their tuition payment by the deadline. Class registrations will be cancelled on the first day of fall classes for any students with an outstanding balance due.

You can verify your Move-In clearance by logging into the Portal and selecting the “Student” tab. There you will find a section titled “required actions”. If the line “tuition paid/cleared for move-in” is green, then you have met all requirements.

Steps for Move-In:

  1. Arrival
    Park in available lots close to your residence hall.  (Campus Map and Directions)
  2. Check in
    All students must complete the check-in process before receiving room keys. Check-in will be at the Reception and Information Desk located in Main Hall Lobby. Once you have completed the check-in process and picked up your key you can begin moving into your room.
  3. Park and Unload
    Return to your vehicle and park near your designated residence hall to unload your belongings. A cart can be checked out at the Reception and Information Desk to assist with moving your belongings. Once the vehicle is empty, plan on parking in the Bell Lot to leave your vehicle for the duration of the day.
