16 Tidbits of Advice for Randolph College First-Years

Compiled from a Snapchat survey of alums and current students!

  1. Let your parents fuss over you. They’ll be gone before you know it, and you’ll miss them.
  2. Don’t be a room potato. Use Orientation to meet people and get to know them because most likely they’ll be your bridesmaids/groomsmen at your wedding.
  3. You don’t need all that stuff!!!! TRUST MEEEE.
  4. In the beginning, everyone is just as nervous as you. Everyone is also looking for that first friend. Just talk to people and you’ll make friends.Students walking and talking
  5. Talk to your roommate early about issues you have with them. It’s better to have a healthy relationship than a seemingly healthy one. It’s also sometimes better to have a good roommate than a good friendship.Roommates
  6. Each class roughly costs $20, so sleeping through your 8 a.m. is like wasting four Cookout trays.Classroom
