Green Fund

Each year, Student Government, in cooperation with the Sustainability Council, awards money to individual Randolph College students and student organizations to kick-start sustainability initiatives for the Randolph College campus and community.

Have an idea for a project? Perhaps you would like a water bottle refill station in your building; this is how you can make it happen!

How it works

If you have an idea, but would like some help the Green Fund application, contact the sustainability coordinator, who will work with you on the proposal.  You’ll gain valuable grant writing experience while making a difference on campus.

  • Applications will be reviewed at the next Sustainability Council meeting.
  • If approved, the Sustainability Council will forward the proposal to Student Government for final funding approval.
  • Applications must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the date money is needed.

How to apply

To apply for funding, e-mail a MS Word document to greenfund@randolphcollege.edu providing the following information:

Section 1 – Project Information

  1. Your Name
  2. Project title
  3. Club affiliation (if any)
  4. Project start date
  5. Project end date
  6. Amount requested (up to $2,000)
  7. Date money is needed

Section 2 – Project Narrative

  1. Describe the project in 1-4 sentences.
  2. How will this project further the Randolph College Sustainability Plan? Include the specific objective(s) of the Plan that this project addresses.
  3. How will this project benefit Randolph College students?

Section 3 – Budget

Provide an itemized budget of all anticipated expenses, including quantity of items and vendors to be used.
