Randolph to host 27th Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Undergraduate Scholarship

Randolph College is hosting the 27th Annual Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference for Undergraduate Scholarship (MARCUS) on Saturday, Nov. 8.

College students throughout Virginia and surrounding states have attended the conference since its inception in 1999, sharing findings from research or creative projects in all disciplines. They present their research in various formats, including oral presentations, poster presentations, and elevator speeches. 

The conference begins with the keynote address, “A Look at Art, Love, and Survival Through the Lens of Arts-Based Research,” given by Linda Helmick, associate teaching professor of art education at the University of Missouri in Columbia. 

Poster presentations will be on display in Hampson Commons during two sessions, from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. 

Oral presentations will be in Nichols Theatre and Klein Board Room from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.
