U.S. News & World Report names Randolph one of the nation’s top liberal arts colleges

Randolph College has again been ranked among the nation’s top liberal arts colleges by the U.S. News & World Report.

The College was ranked #141 in the 2022 edition of its Best Colleges guidebook.

Randolph was also ranked #203 in the category of Top Performers on Social Mobility, which focuses on enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students with Pell Grants. The majority of these federal grants are awarded to students whose adjusted gross family incomes are under $50,000.

The U.S. News & World Report takes a variety of factors into consideration when compiling its rankings, including student-faculty ratio, the average federal loan debt of graduates, application requirements, tuition and financial aid policies, student body demographics, and campus life.

U.S. News surveyed schools in the spring and summer of 2021. Editors also made slight adjustments to how they assessed SAT/ACT scores and made greater use of historic data for several ranking indicators, due to the disruption the pandemic has had on higher education.
