Sunset over Main Hall and the Red Brick WallAs 2017 comes to a close, we have compiled a list of the top 10 stories to recap some of the College’s biggest news from the past year:

  1. Randolph students partner with middle schoolers to build a tiny house, M.A.T. program receives national accreditation.
  2. Professor prestige: The Princeton Review ranks Randolph in top 20 nationally for Most Accessible Professors and for Best Health Services, College Values Online ranks Randolph’s professors among top 50 in the nation alongside Brown University, Pomona College, Davidson College, and others.
  3. Arrival of new academic programs: MFA in creative writing, museum and heritage studies major, and computer science minor.
  4. Randolph Society of Physics Students gets national award for community service, named Outstanding Chapter for 10th straight year.
  5. The Rev. Jesse Jackson speaks at Randolph, inspires students to register to vote.
  6. Sustainability rankings: Randolph recognized as #16 “green” school by The Princeton Review and named a Cool School by the Sierra Club.
  7. Students attend historic Women’s March in Washington, D.C.
  8. Randolph sets new giving record on Giving Tuesday 2017 and surpasses overall giving goals for FY 2016-17.
  9. Randolph recognized for affordability and financial aid in Money magazine and Student Loan Report.
  10. Internship with the Washington Redskins helps Mitch McDonald ’17 land a job with the Miami Dolphins.
