5th Annual Science Day Open to Elementary Students

LYNCHBURG – Randolph College’s Society of Physics Students will offer the 5th Annual Science Day April 4 from 12- 5 p.m.

The free event is open to third through sixth graders and is designed to create excitement about science and to allow area children to experience exciting, science-related hands-on activities. Students must pre-register.

Sponsored by Areva, the event offers an afternoon of guided hands-on activities such as building an earthquake-proof house, a re-cycling race and Science Jeopardy. All participants receive a free t-shirt.

Teachers attending Science Day can register to receive recertification points and will be provided access to educational resources.

This year’s Science Day is included in a weekend of science-related events that are part of the college’s first ever Science Festival.
