Graduate Student Practicum and Internship Opportunities
Master’s Level Practicum (10 hours/week) Spring Semester Only
Internship (20 hours/week) Fall and Spring Semester
Further develop clinical skills in a college counseling center; skills will be applicable to other professional counseling settings
Responsibilities:
- Individual counseling with traditional age undergraduate students
- Crisis intervention
- Psychoeducational group opportunities
- Consultation to faculty and staff
- Outreach to the college community
- Weekly supervision by a Licensed Professional Counselor
- Case consultation/ educational seminars
- Mentorship for a career in college counseling
Prerequisites:
- BA/BS degree
- Be a graduate student in an accredited Master’s of Counseling Program
- Have successfully completed the program’s preparatory courses
- Have permission of the program’s clinical coordinator
- Carry professional liability insurance
