Graduate Student Practicum and Internship Opportunities

Master’s Level Practicum (10 hours/week) Spring Semester Only

Internship (20 hours/week) Fall and Spring Semester

Further develop clinical skills in a college counseling center; skills will be applicable to other professional counseling settings

Responsibilities:

Individual counseling with traditional age undergraduate students
Crisis intervention
Psychoeducational group opportunities
Consultation to faculty and staff
Outreach to the college community
Weekly supervision by a Licensed Professional Counselor
Case consultation/ educational seminars
Mentorship for a career in college counseling

Prerequisites:

BA/BS degree
Be a graduate student in an accredited Master’s of Counseling Program
Have successfully completed the program’s preparatory courses
Have permission of the program’s clinical coordinator
Carry professional liability insurance
