Graduate Student Practicum and Internship Opportunities

Master’s Level Practicum (10 hours/week) Spring Semester Only

Internship (20 hours/week) Fall and Spring Semester

Further develop clinical skills in a college counseling center; skills will be applicable to other professional counseling settings

Responsibilities:

  • Individual counseling with traditional age undergraduate students
  • Crisis intervention
  • Psychoeducational group opportunities
  • Consultation to faculty and staff
  • Outreach to the college community
  • Weekly supervision by a Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Case consultation/ educational seminars
  • Mentorship for a career in college counseling

Prerequisites:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Be a  graduate student in an accredited Master’s of Counseling Program
  • Have successfully completed the program’s preparatory courses
  • Have permission of the program’s clinical coordinator
  • Carry professional liability insurance
