Jim Peterson, Randolph professor emeritus, to read from latest poetry book

Jim Peterson, a Randolph professor emeritus, will return to campus later this month to read from his newest book of poetry, Towheaded Stone Thrower: The Harriet Poems

He will read selections, with musical interludes by Grant Kittrell, on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Maier Museum of Art at Randolph College. 

Peterson is the author of eight collections of poetry, three chapbooks, numerous plays, the novel Paper Crown, and a collection of short stories. He is also a former faculty member for the University of Nebraska Omaha Low-Res MFA Program. 

The event is free and open to the public.
