Randolph will soon recognize three outstanding graduates with the Distinguished Young Alumni Award.
This is the second year of the award, which honors individuals who have graduated in the past 15 years, distinguished themselves in their vocation, and demonstrated concern for and service to their community.
The 2025 winners are Jane W. Campbell ’12, Mi Dan Nguyen ’14, and Caitlin R. Jones ’17.
The award ceremony is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 26, during WildCat Weekend.
Jane W. Campbell ’12
Campbell is a preservation consultant with Rogers Lewis Group, where she helps developers access historic preservation tax credits, drafts National Register of Historic Places nominations, and guides adaptive use projects across South Carolina.
With a bachelor’s degree in history from Randolph and a master’s in public history from the University of South Carolina, Campbell has authored more than two dozen successful National Register nominations and enabled clients to secure over $40 million in tax credits.
Her work has received multiple preservation awards, including Historic Columbia’s Preservation Leadership Award and the National Council on Public History’s Excellence in Consulting Award. Her projects have also been recognized, including three that were given the South Carolina Historic Preservation Award by the state’s governor.
An active leader in Columbia’s preservation community, she also serves on the Palladium Board of Historic Columbia and lends her expertise to organizations across the region.
Mi Dan Nguyen ’14
Nguyen is manager of venue sales and events at Intrepid Museum, where she oversees large-scale client events for up to 3,000 guests across 13 event spaces.
She leads all aspects of booking, planning, and production, manages vendor relationships, collaborates with the marketing team on promotion, directs a team of up to 50 event staff, and provides onsite supervision for the entire duration of events.
After graduating from Randolph with a business degree and concentrations in marketing, psychology, and multimedia journalism, Nguyen built a career in hospitality and events management.
She has held positions with IGC Hospitality Group, estiatorio Milos, and KGNY Hospitality Group, producing private dining experiences, corporate conferences, and large-scale galas. At KGNY, she generated more than $1 million in annual event revenue while delivering bespoke events for diplomats, business leaders, and artists.
Nguyen is passionate about food, bringing communities together, and creating impactful and memorable gatherings.
Caitlin R. Jones ’17
Jones is a climate, energy, and water resilience policy lead with Concurrent Technologies Corporation, where she advises the U.S. Department of the Air Force and international partners as a subject matter expert on resilience and security.
She is focused on aligning the Department’s strategic priorities, environmental realities, and critical mission needs for operational readiness and success. With expertise in policy, analysis, and planning, Jones has played a key role in supporting the development and execution of energy, water, and climate policies, programs, and exercises.
After double majoring in environmental studies with honors and global studies at Randolph, she earned her master’s degree in international security policy from George Washington University. Prior to her current role, Jones spent several years as a consultant providing support to the U.S. Department of Defense on environmental issues and the Federal Emergency Management Agency on community resilience.
She has led million-dollar resilience programs, advised on international climate security initiatives, and published research for NATO and the U.S. Society of American Military Engineers on climate, conflict, and energy resilience.
