The Randolph College Organic Garden was awarded $3000 from the Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation in December 2024.
The GLCF funding helped purchase necessary upgrades for the Garden, including a three-bin composting system, a small chicken coop to help grow our flock, greenhouse supplies, and a variety of plants that students planted themselves.
The goal of the Randolph College Organic Garden is to provide students with an opportunity to learn how to be self-sufficient through growing their own food, tending to the land, and caring for the College’s flock of chickens.
