Jessica Hargrave speaks to film and video students during her visit to campus.

Filmmaker Jessica Hargrave visited campus in September to meet with film and video students and screen the film Good Night Oppy, which she produced. The documentary follows the Opportunity rover—sent to Mars for a 90-day mission that ended up lasting for 15 years—and “the remarkable bond forged between a robot and her humans millions of miles away.”

Hargrave is the producer of Apple TV’s Come See Me In the Good Light, winner of the Festival Favorite Award at Sundance. She previously produced Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter (Netflix), Ask Dr. Ruth (Hulu), and The Keepers (Netflix).

The film screening was funded by the Sara Driver ’77 Digital Filmmaking Course and Lecture Series.
