Randolph College will officially open its newest athletic facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 3 at 4 p.m.
The recently renovated 4,700-square-foot building is located at 2306 Bedford Avenue in the Randolph Business District.
“We are excited to be a part of the innovative Randolph Business District near our campus, and we look forward to the expanded, customized space this new facility offers our athletic program,” said Sue Ott Rowlands, president. “Randolph’s enrollment growth is good news, not only for our College, but for the community as well. This is an exciting time for our WildCat family.”
The new space will provide the College with additional practice and office space. Randolph added four new sports for the 2024-25 academic year: women’s and men’s wrestling, women’s stunt, and men’s volleyball.
“The acquisition and subsequent renovation of this space shows a commitment from the College to the growth and sustainability of not only our new wrestling programs, but the athletics department as a whole,” said Tom Galbraith, director of athletics. “And the benefit of having a stand-alone facility for the wrestling programs means that it benefits all of our student-athletes on campus because it allows our gym space in the MAC to be utilized fully by our other programs.”
The new facility’s renovation was led by Penny Lane Properties.
