Spring Dance Concert celebrating ‘individuality through shared movement’

Randolph’s Annual Spring Dance Concert will focus on each dancer’s contribution to creating a cohesive, seamless show.

“I wanted to emphasize everyone’s unique strengths and demonstrate that diverse minds, bodies, and ideas collectively form a beautiful world,” said Danie Etienne, visiting professor of dance and director of the Helen McGehee Visiting Artist Program. “This year’s event features an array of local artists and national choreographers, including guest performers who have graced Broadway stages, danced with renowned figures like Paul Taylor, and worked alongside commercial artists such as Solange Knowles.”

“Mosaic: Celebrating Individuality through Shared Movement” will be held on Friday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April 6, at 2 p.m. in Thorsen Theatre.

The concert is an annual tradition for Randolph dancers. The 2024 show includes choreography by Etienne and guest artists Ryan Moody, Francisco Graciano, Scott Fox, Jeremy Guyton, and Heatherly Ahern.

Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students with an ID, and free for Randolph students and children younger than 12.

“I’m excited to present this diverse group of performers and artists, as this concert exemplifies how our collective differences empower us,” Etienne said. “Together, we showcase our strength.”
