Randolph gearing up for Giving Tuesday with matching gift

Randolph has received a $25,000 matching gift from the Jessie Ball duPont Fund for the College’s sixth annual Giving Tuesday on Dec. 1.

Annual Fund gifts of $500 or less made between now and 11:59 p.m. EST Dec. 1 will be matched by the foundation. To count toward the match, gifts must be made online at www.randolphcollege.edu/givingtuesday.

A globally recognized day that follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday allows individuals to unite their efforts to benefit the charitable causes that matter most to them.

This year, Randolph will mark the occasion with a series of virtual events, including the lighting of the College tree and menorah; testimonials from students, faculty, and staff; and a virtual fun run/walk that can be completed anywhere.

In 2019, Randolph received more than 760 gifts during the event, and this year’s goal is to reach at least 1,000. Gifts benefit the Randolph College Annual Fund, which supports everything from scholarship and RISE grants to campus COVID-19 prevention and diversity and inclusion initiatives.

For more information or to join Randolph College’s Giving Tuesday campaign as an advocate, please contact Tamara Jamerson, Annual Fund director, at 434-485-8067 or tjamerson@randolphcollege.edu.

To participate, watch your email, follow the Randolph Memories Facebook page for a broadcast and updates, and make your gift at www.randolphcollege.edu/givingtuesday.
