Randolph College will celebrate its fourth annual giving day on Giving Tuesday, November 27.
Giving Tuesday is a globally recognized day of giving back, and follows the holiday shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. On this day, individuals worldwide unite their efforts for the benefit of the charitable causes that matter most to them and for the betterment of their communities.
“Last year, nearly 600 alumnae and alumni, parents, students, faculty and staff, and friends of the College united to raise over $150,000 for the Annual Fund on Giving Tuesday,” said Tamara Jamerson ’95, Annual Fund director. “Their collective generosity has consistently made Giving Tuesday a record-setting day for Randolph’s online donations since the College began participating in 2015. This year, our campaign theme is ‘Randolph Inspires,’ since the generosity of our donors helps provide our students with the life-changing educational experiences that inspire them to pursue and live ‘the life more abundant.’”
Randolph is looking to improve upon last year’s Giving Tuesday donor total of 596, but to achieve this ambitious goal the College will need the support of the entire Randolph community—both behind and beyond the Red Brick Wall.
All Annual Fund gifts given to Randolph on November 27 will count in the Giving Tuesday gift tally. The Annual Fund provides crucial unrestricted revenue that touches all facets of the Randolph experience, including scholarships and experiential learning, faculty professional development, and campus beautification, just to name a few areas.
