Accomplished fiction/non-fiction writer joins M.F.A. core faculty

Anjali Sachdeva is the newest addition to Randolph College’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program.

Sachdeva’s fiction writing has appeared in The Iowa Review, Gulf Coast, Yale Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, The Literary Review, and Best American Nonrequired Reading. Her first collection of stories, All the Names They Used for God (Spiegel & Grau), was named a must-read book for 2018 by Elle and AM New York, and a top read for Harper’s Bazaar, Entertainment Weekly, Fast Company, The Christian Science Monitor, Bustle, Shondaland, Popsugar, Sada El-Balad and Refinery29.

Sachdeva is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and has taught at the University of Iowa, Augustana College, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Pittsburgh. She also worked for six years as director of educational programs for the Creative Nonfiction Foundation.
