Randolph College’s Lipscomb Library is accepting entries from students, faculty, and staff for its first-ever Edible Books Contest on Wednesday, October 24.

Participants are encouraged to create an edible version of their favorite book, and may enter as many pieces as they like. All entries must be homemade by the person entering the contest, and must be able to survive without spoiling on display for eight hours at room temperature. Randolph community members who do not create an edible book are also invited to participate as judges.

To enter, fill out the form at http://bit.ly/EdibleEntries. You may bring an entry on the day of the event without signing up, but only those entries that have registered in advance will be judged and eligible for prizes.

Schedule for Contest:
10:30 a.m. – Entries due
10:30-11 a.m. – Setup
11-2 p.m. – Voting by community and library staff
2:30 p.m. – Winners announced, prizes awarded
2:30-5 p.m. – Eating of the entries

Award categories and prizes are still being decided and will be announced soon. Please direct any additional questions to Stephen Krueger, access and outreach services librarian, at skrueger@randolphcollege.edu.
