A Statement From President Bradley W. Bateman to the Randolph College Community

Dear Randolph College Faculty, Staff, and Students,

As the news began to emerge this weekend about the violence and terrorism unleashed in Charlottesville by white supremacists and neo-nazis, it became more clear than ever the importance of the work we do together at Randolph College. Race hatred and anti-Semitism threaten our democracy and undermine the most important values that we share as Americans.

Randolph College stands for the equal treatment of all people. Hatred and violence have no place in our community.

These are sad and difficult times. But we stand together and will re-double our efforts to create a life more abundant for all.

Bradley W. Bateman
President
