Starting this semester, Randolph’s Student Government is giving its constituents another opportunity to learn more about the organization’s work as well as a chance to share ideas and concerns with student representatives.
Each Wednesday from 9-10 p.m. in Hampson Commons in the Student Center, four Student Government senators will hold Senator Tables sessions where they welcome feedback from students.
“The purpose of the senator tables is for students to come talk to us and tell us how we can improve their lives at Randolph,” said Sandeep Poudyal ’16, president of Student Government. “Student Government is the government of the students. We are service providers, so our basic job is not to wait for the customers to come to us—we go to the customers. Our main goal is transparency and consistency in transparency.”
In another effort to promote transparency, Student Government began displaying pertinent information and meeting agendas on the main projector in the Student Center this semester.
