Randolph College launches new institutional visual graphic identity

Randolph College Academic Logo - 2015LYNCHBURG–Randolph College launched a new visual graphic identity for the College this week. The new logo and word marks are the result of nearly a year of focus groups and design work and provide the College with a modern, strong graphic identity. The College’s Office of College Relations led the redesign process.

The new logo and word mark will serve as the College’s primary institutional visual identity. The new logo was designed to complement the College seal, which will continue to be used for official purposes, such as on College diplomas.

Randolph College Seal - 2015“The new visual identity includes a refreshed word mark and new logo featuring the Conway Bell Tower, which allows us to honor our past with a traditional and much-loved landmark, while also providing a modern, strong graphic that is more conducive to the College’s graphic needs,” said Wesley Fugate, vice president and chief of staff.

Randolph College, he added, will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the founding of the College, beginning in January 2016. “These new brand marks are an exciting way to kick off this nearly year-long celebration, which will recognize our rich history as Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and our exciting future as Randolph College.”

Randolph unveiled its new athletics graphic identity in August, which included a refreshed, more modern WildCat, as well as a new “R” logo that incorporates the College’s much-loved “scratch” logo.
