Randolph College Earns Spot on Forbes.com 'Best Colleges' List

LYNCHBURG — Randolph College was the only private college in Virginia named a Best College Buy in the latest rankings from Forbes.com and the Center for College Affordability and Productivity (CACP).

Of the 100 schools highlighted as a Best Buy, six were in Virginia. The rankings are determined by dividing a school’s quality score by its average tuition rate.

Randolph College also earned a spot in Forbes America’s Best 600 Colleges list, the Best Liberal Arts Colleges list, and the Best Colleges in the South list.

The second-annual ranking guide selects colleges and universities based on a variety of factors including four-year graduation rate, student satisfaction, post-graduation success of graduates and the number of national and global awards won by students and faculty at the institution.

This recognition follows recent news of Randolph College’s inclusion in the “2010 Fiske Guide to Colleges”, the Princeton Review’s “Best 371 Colleges,” and the “Insider’s Guide to Colleges” by the Yale Daily News.
