STUDENT ATHLETIC TRAINER

Job Title:  Student Athletic Trainer

Department:  Athletics

Location: Michels Athletic Center (MAC) 

Supervisor: Matt Yates, myates@randolphcollege.edu

Essential Functions:

  • Receive daily direction from Athletic Training Staff
  • Assist Staff Athletic Trainers with daily duties in the Athletic Training Room including:
  • Assisting with care and treatments and rehab as directed by ATC 
  • Keeping AT Room clean, disinfected and organized
  • Assist in checking student athletes in and helping with treatment files
  • Daily practice and game preparation 
  • Daily disinfecting of bottles, coolers, equipment, tables, etc.  
  • Filling coolers, delivering supplies to the courts and fields
  • Monitoring the AT Room and enforcing AT Room rules 
  • Observing team practice as needed
  • Sideline assistance to the AT staff during games
  • Driving injured athletes in golf cart to/from practice or to their dorm after practice

Qualifications:

  • Able to lift 75 lbs; 
  • Basic communication /people skills.
  • Must have US driver’s license for operating golf cart.

Working Environment:

  • Late afternoon, nights, and some weekend work. Will be indoors and outdoors throughout the entire year. Indoors can be in non-air conditioned spaces. Outdoors can include any and all weather conditions. 

Pay: $12.41/Hour

Hours: 4-8 hours/ week

Length of Employment: August 2025 to May 2026

You will also be required to complete FERPA training (online) and work and confidentiality agreements. You will not be able to begin work or get paid before you complete these items. See the Human Resources Office, located in Main Hall for more information on the required documentation. The HR office is located in Main Hall and is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 to 5:00 pm.
