Summer Transition at Randolph (STAR) Program

The Summer Transition at Randolph (STAR) program is a FREE two-week, residential session designed to make the transition to college just a little easier.

Not only will you get advice and guidance that will put you ahead of the game academically, you will get the chance to move in early, meet new friends, and adjust to college life before everyone else.

You will earn a total of 2.5 credits in the program and be able to polish and enhance all of those skills you will need to succeed in college—things like researching information, note and test taking, time management, and goal setting.

Don’t worry, college isn’t all work and no play! STAR students will have plenty of time for fun, with activities like movie nights, bowling, minor league baseball games, and other social events designed to help you get to know and connect with other students and the College.

Program Elements

The program includes 2.5 academic credits, group activities and entertainment, and room and board for a week of the two-week session.

Cost

The program is FREE to those selected.

College Life

The STAR program will give you the advantage of living on campus and adjusting to college life before fall orientation begins. The program is residential, and students will live together in one of Randolph’s residence halls. You will move into the room in which you will live for the year. Commuter students and residential students are encouraged to participate. Meals will be provided in the Dining Hall.
