Forbes names Randolph among ‘America’s Top Colleges’

Forbes has named Randolph one of “America’s Top Colleges” for 2019.

According to Forbes, “Whether a school is in the Top 10 or near the bottom of the list, these 650 count as the best in the country. We include just 15 percent of the 4,300 degree-granting postsecondary institutions in the U.S., so appearing here at all is an indication that a school meets a high standard.”

Out of the 650 public and private institutions on the list, Randolph is ranked 550th overall, 351st among private colleges, 178th among liberal arts universities, and 125th in the South. It is also ranked fifth among private colleges in Virginia.

The rankings are based on alumni salary, student satisfaction, debt, American leaders and other notable alumni, on-time graduation rate, and academic success. The full list and ranking methodology is available here, and Randolph’s full profile is available here.

This is not the first time Randolph has been included in Forbes’ list of “America’s Top Colleges.” Randolph was included on the list in 2015 and 2016, and in 2018, Forbes ranked Randolph in the top 100 among “Colleges with the Happiest, Most Successful Alumni.”
