The Task Force on Campus Culture continues to meet regularly. Members are examining the College’s current programming and working on a final set of recommendations regarding ways to improve our campus culture on consent and respect that will be presented to the president and the Board of Trustees later this spring.
The law firm of Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP is in the midst of phase three of its external review of our Title IX practices. The firm is examining our handling of reports of sexual misconduct. Specifically, this review examines our compliance with the legal obligations of Title IX, including a retrospective review of the College’s Title IX practices to identify any long-standing issues of non-compliance.
A student campus climate survey regarding sexual assault and Title IX issues is also being developed by a national firm and will be presented to students this spring.
