Introducing Randolph’s New Magazine: Vita Abundantior

The Cover of Vita AbundantiorLiving the Life More Abundant

The definition of success means something different to everyone. For some, it is about wealth and prestige. For others, it may mean intriguing titles and power. However, at Randolph College, one of the biggest priorities of the liberal arts education we provide is to help students redefine their definition of success, to inspire them to think beyond the obvious and reach for a bigger destination. It is about teaching them the importance of the journey—and all it can bring to a life.

For nearly as long as the College has existed, its motto, Vita abundantior, has provided a guidepost for its graduates. To succeed is to pursue a life filled with meaning, volunteer service, passion, family, and a never–ending quest for knowledge. Success is about seeking a career or life purpose that fulfills us, that broadens our perspective, that leads us to new journeys and pathways.

In this first issue of Randolph’s new magazine, we share with you just a few of the thousands of graduates who have taken what they have learned at the College and are using it to make their mark on the world. These women and men are very different from one another. Yet, they share the same determination to live a better life—an abundant life.

We hope you enjoy their stories and are inspired to pursue your own Vita abundantior.
