Randolph ranks third in the nation for “Best Colleges for Clubs and Activities”

Pumpkin Parade September 27 2014Randolph College has been ranked third in the nation for student activities by the 2015 Cappies, an awards ranking produced by Cappex, a website that specializes in helping students choose a college.

Randolph ranked behind Alma College and Vassar in the top 25  ranking for “Best Colleges for Clubs and Activities.” The ranking is based on more than 1.4 million student reviews of about  2,000 colleges and universities, according to an announcement on the Cappex website.

“This category showcases those schools that offer the best opportunities for involvement and leadership through various clubs, activities, and programs,” the announcement said.

Students reviewing Randolph gave the College high marks. One reviewer wrote, “I love Randolph. I have met (and still meet) amazing people from all over the world. The classes are small, and you can create a personal relationship with professors.”

Another added that students are tolerant of others’ differences and make good decisions.”

“This category showcases those schools that offer the best opportunities for involvement and leadership through various clubs, activities, and programs,” the announcement said.

Randolph College students have a wide variety of opportunities to get involved, including student government, working with the College’s art collection, running a popular Science Festival, producing a newspaper and a literary magazine, theatre and dance performance opportunities, community service, and more. The College also hosts activities featuring professional musicians, comedians, and other performers.
