I am an economist and educator with decades of experience in teaching, research, and international consulting. A Fulbright scholar, I have taught a wide range of courses—including microeconomics, macroeconomics, managerial economics, and international trade—with a focus on connecting theory to real-world challenges.
In addition to Randolph College, I have taught at Florida International University and at the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico, where I was twice recognized as Best Professor.
My teaching philosophy—Helping Students Succeed—reflects my deep commitment to student-centered learning and interdisciplinary engagement.
Beyond academia, I have served as a senior consultant for international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, UN-Habitat, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and the Inter-American Development Bank. My work spans program design, monitoring and evaluation of public investment programs, and strategic planning across Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. I led evaluations of climate change frameworks and rural development programs, consistently promoting evidence-based decision-making and sustainable growth.
My goal is for my students to learn to effectively communicate complex economic concepts across cultural and disciplinary boundaries so as to foster global understanding and advances in sustainable development.
