How to Report Sexual Misconduct

Randolph College strongly encourages you to report sexual misconduct, and offers resources to support you during the process. Reports can be made to the College’s Title IX Coordinator, Matha Thornton; to law enforcement; or both.  Because misconduct may be both a violation of College policy and a criminal offense, we strongly encourage you to consider reporting to both the College and law enforcement. Individuals can report at any time, but the College strongly encourages individuals to file complaints promptly in order to preserve evidence for a potential disciplinary or legal proceeding.

You are welcome to invite a support person to accompany you when making a report to the College and/or law enforcement. Your support person can be anyone with whom you feel safe and comfortable. Visit the “Support and Resources” page to learn more about local and on-campus supports.
