Randolph holding series of events to honor Black History Month

Randolph College’s Office of Diversity Identity, Culture, and Inclusion will offer several special events during February in observance of Black History Month.

The Department of Performing Arts is also holding a recital celebrating Black History Month as part of its Guest Artist Concert Series.

Sunday, Feb. 12
3 p.m., Wimberly Recital Hall
Guest Artist/Faculty Recital, featuring soprano Katherine Jolly, violinist Omari Imhotep Abdul-Alim, and Randolph College music professor Emily Yap Chua on piano

Wednesday, Feb. 22
7 to 9 p.m., Hampson Commons
Wind and Water Poetry Jam and Open Mic with Randolph’s Black Student Alliance and The Listening

Friday, Feb. 24
3:30 to 5 p.m., Hampson Commons
Reflections on the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s and 1970s with artist Nick George
