Student Assistant – Help Desk

Job Title:  Student Assistant – Help Desk

Department:  I T

Number of positions available: 2

Essential Functions:  This job varies between basic secretarial work and hands-on technology troubleshooting. Assistants are responsible for answering phones and email, maintaining the technology in labs and classrooms, and supporting students, faculty, and staff with a variety of technology needs. Assistants may be asked to assist during campus events in the form of video recording or help with media presentation. Other duties and projects may be assigned as needed.


  • Good learner.
  • Good research skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Mac and/or PC computers.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite application.

 Working Environment: Position typically works in an office environment, but may require standing/walking/sitting for extended periods of time. May occasionally lift 10/15 lbs.

Pay: $12.00/hour

Hours: Our hours are 8:00 am – 5:00 pm most days – shifts available during those times. Work 10 hours/week.
