Department: Off-Campus (Lynchburg Parks and Recreation)

Essential Functions:
Qualifications: Desire and ability to work with a diverse group of youth between the ages of 6 and 17. Believe that all youth can succeed. Be able to assist with homework and outside activities. Be responsible, flexible, enthusiastic, and committed.
Must be eligible for Federal Work Study and have own transportation.
Working Environment:
College Hill Center – 811 Jackson Street 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Daniel’s Hill Center – 317 Norwood Street 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Diamond Hill Center – 1005 Seventeenth Street 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Fairview Center – 3621 Campbell Avenue 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Jefferson Park Center – 405 York Street 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Yoder Center – 109 Jackson Street 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Pay: $11.00 per hour
Hours: 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or as many afternoons as class schedule allows
Degree of Physical Risk: Some degree due to possible participation and assistance with sports, recreation activities, and some lifting of equipment.
