DOS Student Assistant

Job Title: Student:    Student Assistant

Department:  Office of the Dean of Students

Number of positions available:  1

Essential Functions:  General office work including answering phones, transferring calls, and taking detailed messages; greeting visitors and students; photocopying, faxing, printing; typing and creating documents, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations using Microsoft Office; data entry; taking outgoing mail to the College mailroom and picking up new mail for the DOS Office; hanging posters around campus and removing expired or unauthorized posters. Other tasks may include creating posters/fliers/brochures, decorating bulletin boards, assisting with special events, provide office coverage during meetings, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, friendly and attentive, detail-oriented, conscientious and reliable, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, maintains high degree of confidentiality, organized and neat, ability to multi-task, work independently, and follow directions.

Working Environment:  Office Environment

Pay: $7.25/Hour

Hours:  varies, office is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
