Job Title:  Peer Mentor/Coach

Department:  Access Services

Essential Functions:

• Weekly meetings with a student diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum
• Attend weekly training meeting with Program Coordinator
• Assist student with transition to college life and campus, if applicable
• Assist student in navigating campus and campus resources
• Provide social support and encourage integration into wider college community
• Provide positive reinforcement for the student and encourage self-advocacy
• Be a good academic and social role model for the student
• Keep in weekly contact with the student by phone, email and text
• Plan, attend and lead social activities with students
• Keep weekly logs of time spent with the student
• Communicate regularly with Program Coordinator
• Agree to all expectations of confidentiality

Pay: $12.00/Hr.

Hours: 2 hours/ week
