Help Desk Manager

The Help Desk Supervisor is responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work for both the Help Desk personnel and student assistants. They perform Help Desk related tasks to ensure that faculty, staff, and student’s technology needs are met. The Supervisor is responsible for all client computers, peripherals, software, and, audio-visual equipment on campus. They oversee the creation and deployment of operations system images, software deployment, and device and software inventory. The supervisor is also responsible for the front end of our student print management system, software licensing, budget planning and purchasing for the Help Desk. Works with the Director of IT to plan for annual equipment replacement, upgrades, and budget recommendations.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related filed work. At least three year managerial experience. Experience creating and deploying computer images and software packages. Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively. Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, and trouble shooting skills. Proficient with Microsoft operating systems and software products. Proficiency with Apple macros, iPads, iPhones, and Apple software products preferred.
