Director of Finance and Budget

Randolph College invites applications for the position of Director of Finance and Budget (position vacant due to a promotion). The Director is an integral part of the College’s financial leadership team and plays a key role in the development and management of the College’s budget, accounting and reporting processes including both interim budget reporting as well as the annual financial statement audit, and with risk management. The Director reports to the Vice President for Finance and Administration and works collaboratively with senior administrators on campus. Prepares financial analysis and research to support the College in its monitoring of financial performance of various departments, provides analytical support for more complex budgetary and financial projections, and recommends procedures to ensure conformance with budgetary provisions and financial policies and procedures. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be proficient in a Microsoft Office environment, including Excel. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of financial or budgetary experience, including extensive knowledge of non-profit accounting and reporting. Master’s degree or CPA preferred. Analytical and problem solving skills critical. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with deadlines. Working knowledge of graphic and presentation tools is a plus.
