    Amanda Rumore serves as coordinator for the Equine Studies Minor and is also lifelong equestrienne.

    Growing up on a horse farm in New Jersey, Rumore rode competitively in the hunter/jumpers throughout her childhood, including all the major 3’6″ equitation finals. As a student at Virginia Tech, she continued to ride and was a member of the Virginia Tech equestrian team.

    In addition, Rumore worked as a large animal veterinary technician before attending graduate school. She looks forward to advising students interested in all careers related to the equine industry.
