Beyond the Red Brick Wall Book Club

The Office of Alumnae and Alumni Relations is pleased to announce the August “Beyond the Red Brick Wall” Book Club discussion.

Biased: Uncovering The Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, And Do by Jennifer L. Eberhartd, Ph.D. and social psychologist who currently teaches at Stanford University.

Book summary: “A leading expert on unconscious racial bias examines the manifestations of automatic racism in contemporary society and how they influence race relations and criminal justice.” (Source: NPR)

Our discussion of Biased will be facilitated by Leslie King ’06. Leslie is president of Many Voices One Community, an organization that exists: “to advance racial justice in Central Virginia by inspiring action and social change through education, engagement, and advocacy.”
