Work Study

The first step in applying for campus employment is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see if you are eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study Program. When you receive your financial aid award letter, you will also receive an application for a campus job. Using that application, we will arrange for you to interview with an employer or work-study supervisor. Jobs are available in most of the administrative and academic departments. A limited number of jobs are available for students who do not qualify for need-based aid. For additional information, contact us.

Randolph also offers off-campus community service employment programs. Participating employers vary from year to year, but typically include: Virginia School of the Arts, The Free Clinic, Crisis Line, YMCA, and many more United Way agencies. Student with need-based employment typically work up to 10 hours per week. Off-campus community service jobs may also be available. Some jobs are available for students who do not qualify for need-based assistance. Students may have the potential to earn up to $1860 per academic year through the Federal Work Study Program.
