Summer Research Programs

Imagine spending an entire summer focused on your favorite subject, working closely with a professor, gaining invaluable professional skills. You can do just that in Randolph’s intensive eight-week Summer Student/Faculty Research Program.

Conduct laboratory and field studies, complemented by literature research based on your selected discipline. Live in a residence hall on campus, if you choose, so you can be close to your professors and participate in on-campus summer events. Take advantage of opportunities to attend special seminars with guest speakers and share the progress of your research at informal forums organized throughout the summer.

And finally, join with fellow students and faculty for a mini-retreat, during which you and other students will present your research results.

To get an idea of some past experiences, check out the archive of recent research projects.

Launched in the summer of 2000 with a $192,000 grant from the Jessie Ball duPont Fund, the program is open to students and faculty in all disciplines. You can apply for participation starting at the end of your first year through the summer preceding graduation. We use a proposal application process to select projects.
