When you want to escape books and classes, there are the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains, which border our campus. You can take a hike on the Appalachian Trail, drive along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, canoe the James River, swim at Smith Mountain Lake, or ski at Wintergreen Resort.
