Academic Information for Transfer Students
A Step by Step Guide

Your decisions about your academic program will obviously be among the most important you will make while in college. To assist you in making the most of the academic opportunities you have at Randolph College, we have prepared the following Academic Step-By-Step Guide.

Follow these steps to ensure that your entry into the Academic Program goes smoothly. Please note that all forms should be submitted (either online or via snail mail - see bottom of page) by July 15.

Academic Forms are due by July 15.

Read thoroughly the "Transfer Student Academic Guide". Everything you need to know in order to prepare for registration for fall classes is there. Refer back to these pages while filling out the required forms.


Ensure that all transcripts from previous institutions are provided to the Transfer Counselor. Talk with the Transfer Counselor about a preliminary academic strategy, the Randolph Plan.

A Credit Evaluation from our Registrar will be sent to you detailing your transferable credits and indicating how these credits can apply to your Randolph College degree program. Keep the Credit Evaluation in front of you as you proceed with your course selections.

Familiarize yourself with the Glossary of Academic Terminology. Refer back to these pages as necessary.

Prepare for your Orientation advising and registration session by reviewing the course listings at http://iq.randolphcollege.edu/iqweb/visitor/coursesectionsearch.asp.  Use the search engine to look for interesting courses for the Fall 2009 semester.

Fill out the Mathematics Information Form.

If you intend to participate in the riding program, fill out the Riding Background Questionnaire.

Complete the Self-Assessment Assignment.

Complete the Consent to Disclose Information Form.
(Because this form requires your signature, it cannot be submitted online. Simply print it out and mail it to the address below.)
