Dr. Stevens’ article "Commemorating the Dead in the Communal Cemeteries of Carthage," appeared in May 2008 in Roman Burials: Commemorating the Dead in Texts and Artifacts eds. L. Brink and D. Greene (W. De Gruyter).

After supervising a summer research project with Rhiannon Knol, she is spending the summer completing an archaeological report, S. Stevens, M. Garrison and J. Freed, A Cemetery of Vandalic date at Carthage (Spring 2009).

In Fall ’08 and Spring ’09 she will be featured  in the Archaeological Institute of America Lecture Series, lecturing in Kentucky and Louisiana on the results of her research on North African mosaics, including the new tomb mosaics from Leptiminus (Lamta, Tunisia).
