Calculating Your Quality Point Ratio (QPR)
  1. Your Cumulative and Semester QPR's are available on IQ Web.
  2. List below all courses in which grades (with quality point values) were received.   Note that a grade of "P" does not have a quality point value.
  3. Use the following formula for calculating your QPR.   See the table below for quality point values.

FORMULA:

              Grade Rec'd   Q'lity Point Value   X   Credit Hrs   = Total Quality Points

                         C+                        2.3             X            3.0          =              6.9

Total Quality Points_________Divided by Total Hours _________ = QPR_________

Quality Point Values:

A     = 4.0               B+   = 3.3       C+   = 2.3                D+ = 1.3

A-   = 3.7                B     = 3.0         C    = 2.0               D    = 1.0

                                B-   = 2.7          C-   = 1.7               F    = 0.0

RAISING YOUR QPR

Use the following formula to compute what quality point ratio you will have to earn to raise your current cumulative QPR to a level necessary or desired.   Do not include courses taken on a pass/fail or audit basis or courses with a grade of TR, CR, W, EX.
